DRG officially dedicates additional building
After a construction period of only 10 months, the DRG staff moved into the new wing of the building with an area of 730 square meters in early September.
The 4-story addition, with a modern glass and metal front face, offers space for new production areas, various laboratories and seminar rooms, as well as a new central shipping department on the ground floor.
The new rooms were urgently needed in order to produce reagents and accessories for the newly developed combination-analyzer DRG:HYBRiD-XL® and shipping worldwide. The new central shipping department offers spacious cooling facilities, as well as all requirements to process the shipping of equipment and reagent kits in a speedy and uncomplicated manner.
A highlight of the new wing is the top floor, which houses most modern seminar rooms and a bistro for the employees. Both rooms can be connected with each other via a movable wall. They allow a view to the roof terrace with a size of 35 square meters. Not only offers it a grand view of the Marburg castle, but also a generous panorama of the entire surroundings.
The official dedication of the new addition took place on September 2nd in the presence of the Company's Founder, Dr. Geacintov, the Lord Mayor of the City of Marburg, Mr. Vaupel, and all firms connected with the construction under the leadership of the architect, Ms. Pfau. The dedication celebration, together with business associates and the entire staff of DRG Instruments GmbH, was an unforgettable event.
